Anthony Welling was widely known in the 'trade' when he was employed by the largest shipper of antiques in the '60s. However, Nichole, Dutchess of Bedford, approached him to assist in opening what was one of the first antique centres in the UK at Woburn Abbey (now known as Stately Antiques) and he became its first Administrator.

In 1971 Anthony bought and converted an C18th barn in Ripley, Surrey, and opened his own business, Anthony Welling Antiques, specialising in period oak and country furniture.

The premises is in two parts; the converted barn at the rear, displaying C17th Oak; and at the front, on the High Street, a well-stocked shop which tastefully displays C18th oak and country furniture, enabling customers to visualise how it might look in their home.

Arrangements can be made for furniture to be restored by a choice of several highly reccommended craftsmen.

Delivery and shipping can be arranged worldwide.
